Toffee The Akita Dog Across the Seasons: A Life in Pictures

This is me, Toffee the Akita enjoying all the four seasons of the year.¹

I get very springy in Spring time. Just look at me move!

I love long summer walks with plenty of stops for refreshment.²

I love the Autumn. I like to trail my paws through all the leaves and I explore everything. Look at how long my shadow is.

My absolute favorite time of year is the Winter. When I first see snow I just spin and spin and spin. The excitement makes my nose go fizzy. I also like eating snow which might have something to do with it.

¹ Japanese Akita's originally come from the Akita region of Japan in the northern part of Honshu island which has very cold winters, but also hot and humid summers. As such, Akitas do particularly well in a fairly wide range of climates.
