Toffee The Akita Dog's Story - The End: A Life in Pictures

On the 23rd of December 2019 I had my last and final forever sleep. You mustn't be sad though because I'd had such a long life and so many adventures and happy times. I deserve to have a rest after all that. My Daddy was there with me stroking my head when I went to sleep and I can rest happy in the knowledge that someone was always there for me and there to look after me right up until the end. So, my story is over now and I hope that you enjoyed it, and next time you see a Japanese Akita taking a walk please say a big hello from Toffee.1

The Epilogue

After Christmas I went to pick up Toffee's ashes from the vets in Heswall and we took our last walk through the countryside together, our last train journey (Toffee always loved being on trains) and our last walk from New Brighton station down the promenade and back home to her final resting place.

She still has her collar with her and her favorite treat.

Toffee's Plaque

Toffee's plaque is up on the wall in the Stanleys Cask on Rake Lane in New Brighton where she had many happy times so that everyone who knew her can remember her.

1 Always remember to ask the owner if it's okay to say hello before going up to their dog of course.
