Toffee The Akita Dog Moves Home: A Life in Pictures

In February 2015 we moved from Kirkstall in Leeds to New Brighton in the Wirral. We got the train down to Liverpool Lime Street train station and then got a Mersey Cab to New Brighton whilst all my toys, my dog beds and kennel were brought to our new house by the removal people. I'd been to Merseyside many times before and now we were going to live here.¹

This is me on Crosby beach in 2012. This was my first time ever on sand and little did I know that one day I'd be able to go on the beach almost every day.

This is me on New Brighton beach just two days after we moved. It was a very cold morning, but I really enjoyed exploring my new surroundings and its only a short walk from where we now live. A few days later I got to explore the Black Pearl pirate ship.

I settled in to my new surroundings very quickly and we'd only been in our new home a few days when I celebrated by ninth birthday. Here's me reading my birthday card.

¹If you ever bring your pooch to Liverpool its worth knowing that Mersey Cabs are very dog friendly and that the taxis on Merseyside are dog friendly in general.
